Lenses
Your frames are only half the story.
From personalised varifocals and screen lenses to thinner prescriptions and sun protection, we use Nikon technology and precise dispensing to make your glasses work properly in real life — not just look good on the wall.
For anyone struggling between phones, laptops, monitors, meetings and the wider room.
VarifocalsFor first-time or existing varifocal wearers who want clear vision up close, across the room and everywhere between.
Thinner lensesFor stronger prescriptions, and anyone concerned about lens thickness, weight or which frames they can wear.
Sun & glareFor polarised lenses, light-adaptive Transitions, tints and prescription sunglasses.
Everyday lensesFor clearer single-vision lenses, fewer reflections, better durability and a more considered lens design.

How we get your lenses right
Great lenses are the result of judgement and precise measurement, not just a name on the case. This is what happens whichever lens you end up with.
Where your glasses currently let you down — driving, screens, reading, your working distances, comfort, previous varifocals and how they look.
The most appropriate lens type and level of personalisation for you — not automatically the most expensive one.
The position of your eyes, how the frame sits on your face, your working distances and the exact measurements that lens design needs.
Fit, comfort, adaptation and real-life performance after you collect them — and we adjust or put things right if needed.
Where Nikon comes in
Nikon gives us an exceptional range of lens technology — personalised progressives, advanced coatings, light-adaptive and polarised lenses. Our expertise lies in identifying which part of that range is right for you, measuring it precisely, and making sure it performs properly in real life.

Who looks after you
Choosing the right lens is as much about judgement as technology. Our eyewear stylists and dispensing opticians — including FBDO-qualified specialists across our practices — take the time to understand how you use your eyes, then measure and fit your lenses precisely around your frame and your face.

Everyday lenses
Even a straightforward single-vision prescription benefits from a more considered lens. The difference is quiet but real — clearer vision, fewer reflections and lenses that stay looking good for longer.
“The most in-depth review and test I have ever had. After years of putting up with inferior glasses, these are the best — readers, varifocals and a pair for the TV, all perfect. The staff are so helpful and polite. I cannot recommend them higher.”— Wayne M., Google review
Start with what you want your glasses to do better — screens and work, seeing at every distance, thinner lenses, or sun and glare. From there we look at your prescription, your day-to-day life and your current glasses, and recommend what genuinely suits you. You do not need to know the optical terminology; that is our job.
No. A more advanced lens suits many people, but the right lens is the one matched to your prescription, frame and lifestyle — not automatically the dearest. We explain the differences honestly so you can choose what is right for you. Our guide on why some varifocals cost more goes into this.
Yes — we fit Nikon Lenswear, designed in Japan and crafted in the UK. Nikon supplies an exceptional range of technology; our expertise is in choosing which part of that range is right for you, measuring it precisely and making sure it performs in real life.
Most lenses are ready within a week or two, depending on the design and any specialist requirements. We will confirm the timescale at your appointment.
Bring them back and we will check them. A precise fitting and the right design usually mean you adapt quickly, but if anything does not feel right we will review the fit and measurements and put it right.
